Cricket Betting at 22bet shop — BPL to T20 World Cup
Follow Bangladesh's most popular sport more closely. Place bets on various markets at 22bet shop — match winner, toss, top batsman and more — and stay active in every moment of the match with live in-play betting.
Cricket Formats and Competitions
Cricket in Bangladesh is more than a sport — it is passion, celebration and pride. At 22bet shop you can bet on three main formats in both international and domestic cricket: T20, ODI and Test.
T20 (Twenty20) — the fastest format. Each team plays just 20 overs. BPL (Bangladesh Premier League), IPL and the ICC T20 World Cup are played in this format. Live betting is most active here due to quick results and frequent wickets.
ODI (One Day International) — each team plays 50 overs. The strategic balance between batting and bowling makes this format distinctive. The ICC World Cup and bilateral series fall under this format.
Test Cricket — the longest format, up to five days. Because a draw is possible, the betting markets here are different too. In series involving the Tigers, innings-based markets receive particular attention.
BPL is the most popular domestic competition among Bangladeshi supporters, and IPL is India's biggest franchise league, which is widely followed here as well. Interest is naturally at its highest when Bangladesh Tigers play in international matches.
Football and Other Sports
Alongside cricket, you can also bet on football and other sports at 22bet shop. In football, because a draw is possible, the market has three options — "1X2", meaning home win, draw and away win. In limited-overs cricket a draw rarely happens, so the market structure is different. Handicap, corners and goals markets are features specific to football. Before you start betting, you should read the site's terms and conditions carefully.
Popular Betting Markets
There are various types of markets in cricket betting. Below are seven main markets explained in plain language.
Match Winner
The simplest market — choose which team will win the match. Example: Team A vs Team B — if you bet on Team A and they win, you profit; if they lose, your bet is gone.
Toss Betting
You can bet on which team will win the toss before the match starts. Since the toss result is connected to the pitch conditions and weather, many bettors find this market interesting.
Top Batsman
Bet on which player will score the most runs in the match or in their team's innings. Which batter will score the most runs for Team A — that is the top batsman market.
Total Runs Over/Under
Bet on whether the score will go above or below a set number of runs (for example, 160). If Team A's first innings exceeds 160 — that is Over; if it falls short, that is Under.
Top Bowler
Bet on which bowler will take the most wickets in the match. Among Team B's bowlers, who will take the most wickets — analysing bowling performance helps in this market.
Multi Bet (Multiple Selections)
You can combine multiple matches or markets into a single bet. If all selections are correct, the odds multiply to give a larger return — but if even one is wrong, the entire bet is lost.
Handicap Runline
In the runline market, one team is given an artificial advantage or disadvantage. For example, if Team A is given a -15 run handicap, they must win by at least 16 runs for the bet to be settled in your favour. In this market, only the result condition matters — the focus is not on a specific stake or return example.
How to Understand Odds
Odds in betting are displayed in three formats: decimal, fractional and American. 22bet shop generally uses the decimal format, but all three formats carry the same information.
| Odds Format | Team A will win (example) | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Decimal | 2.25 | Total return of ৳2.25 for every ৳1 staked |
| Fractional | 5/4 | ৳5 profit for every ৳4 risked |
| American | +125 | ৳125 profit on a ৳100 bet |
Working Example 1 — Team A wins
Stake ৳200. Decimal 2.25 = Fractional 5/4 = American +125. If Team A wins, total return is ৳450 (৳250 profit + ৳200 original stake). If Team A loses, the full ৳200 is gone.
Working Example 2 — Favourite Team B
Team B's odds: Decimal 1.50 = Fractional 1/2 = American -200. American minus odds show how much you need to stake to make ৳100 profit — here it is ৳200. With a ৳200 stake, if Team B wins, the total return is ৳300 (৳100 profit).
In a multi bet, the odds of each selection are multiplied together. Example: three selections at 1.40, 1.80 and 1.90 — combined odds 4.79 (approximately). A ৳100 bet returns ৳479 if all three are correct. If even one is wrong, the full ৳100 is lost.
Decimal odds are the simplest: total return = stake × odds. Profit = total return − stake. 2.25 on ৳200 means ৳200 × 2.25 = ৳450, profit ৳250.
Live In-Play Betting — Odds Change with Wickets and Overs
Live betting means placing bets while a match is in progress. In cricket this is especially significant because every wicket or big shot instantly changes the odds.
Say Team A are 90 for 2 after 10 overs in a T20 match. Their odds of winning will be lower at that point because they are ahead. But if two quick wickets fall in the next over, the odds will shift again — and that may create an opportunity to bet on Team B.
What happens when a wicket falls
When the batting team loses a wicket, their odds of winning increase (they become less favoured) and the fielding team's odds decrease (they become more favoured).
What happens as overs progress
As the required run rate rises towards the end of the match, the underdog's odds increase. Odds change most rapidly during the powerplay and death overs.
Variety of live markets
In live betting, alongside the match winner, markets such as "runs in the next over", "how the next wicket will fall" and "score at the end of a specific over" are also available.
Time to decide
Odds move fast in live betting. Make sure you are certain before placing a bet, because once a bet is confirmed it cannot be changed.
LIVE — When you see this red dot on the betting interface during a match, it means in-play betting is active for that match. Live betting at 22bet shop works equally well on the mobile app — both Android and iOS versions are available through official channels.
Most live market changes — odds shift on every ball
Odds change gradually over 50 overs — more opportunity for strategic live betting
Draw market available — many live markets over five days; session-based betting is popular
Practical Tips for Getting Started with Betting
Betting is a form of entertainment. Play responsibly and stay within your limits.
-
Start with one format. Odds change quickly in T20 matches and results come fast. The match winner market is the easiest for new bettors.
-
Set a budget. Decide in advance how much you will bet on each match. You should not increase your bets to recover lost money — that is the most important rule in betting.
-
Understand the market before you bet. Read the rules carefully before betting on handicap or exotic markets. You will find answers to common betting questions on the 22bet shop FAQ page.
-
Avoid rushing in live betting. Because odds change quickly, many people make fast decisions. In live betting it is important to stay calm and check the odds before confirming a bet.
-
Be careful with multi bets. Multi bets offer higher returns but also carry higher risk. If one selection is wrong, the entire bet is lost. Avoid adding too many selections — keep it to 2–3.
-
Responsible play. Betting is for entertainment — not as a source of income. Read the responsible gaming guidelines and set limits if needed.
All casino and betting activities are for those aged 21 and above only.

Betting Exchange — What are BACK and LAY?
In regular betting you bet against the site. In a betting exchange you bet against other bettors — one person BACKs (the team will win) and another LAYs (the team will not win).
As an example, consider Team A at decimal odds of 1.80:
- BACK Team A — on a ৳1,000 bet, if Team A wins you make ৳800 profit before commission. If Team A does not win, ৳1,000 is lost.
- LAY Team A — against a backer staking ৳1,000, your liability is ৳800 (৳1,000 × 0.80). If Team A does not win, you receive ৳1,000 before commission; if they win, you pay out ৳800.
Exchange betting is somewhat complex, but popular among experienced bettors. Beginners are better off getting comfortable with regular match winner markets first.
